Our sweet niece, sometimes known as “Bean” is reaching all sorts of milestones lately.  She can sit up all by herself, crawl with determination, stand up next to something, and I can see it in her eyes when her mom is out of the room…she’s going to try climbing stairs any day now!  This sweet bean may be considered a velcro baby to her mama, but each day she’s gaining more and more independence to do things her own way.
Before we know it, we’ll be celebrating year 1, Iyla girl!!

Destiney is a senior!  We both have a love for country music, and, like many others, we agree that George Straight is definitely the king of country music.  The evening of her session, we were dodging rain drops and crossing our fingers the sky wouldn’t rain on us.  And, it didn’t!  It actually made for some very pretty light, especially once we got to the pasture portion which turned out fabulous, in my opinion.  And, I think the hat pictures will be some of her faves.

It’s a month for birthday celebrations at the Melvin home!  The twins turn one and big brother turns 3!  There was never a dull moment as we wrangled all three into native headdresses or set them in a pile of pumpkins.  And, the twins are officially on the move crawling all over the place.  I’m not sure how mom and dad keep up with these three sweeties, but if you ask them, I’m sure they wouldn’t trade a thing!

She’s here!  Miss Maria has finally arrived, and we have all been so anxious to meet her.  She is such a content little pumpkin.  She hardly made a peep during her entire photo shoot.  And, Mom and Dad were beaming with love and joy from head to toe for their darling daughter.  Her Dad’s even got the perfect swaddle figured out…when he’s not wrapped around her little finger.
Welcome, baby girl!  You are simply perfect.

I was so lucky to get to photograph the handsome little Stengel boys with their sweet parents for the third year in a row. I love how they are a little bit ornery, a lotta bit precious and 100% boy.  There may have been a few wrestling takedowns during the session, but of course, no tears.
It was great seeing you this season, Stengels!  Have a great, safe harvest!
