Oh, my baby Rhett, at times he hardly seems like a baby already.  One thing is for sure, though, I love him with every fiber of my being.  As our third child, there are things I feel I’ve learned sooner, let go of long ago, and hold on to a little tighter.  With him, each time I take these milestone photos, I know that in a blink we’ll be looking back on them as a fond memory of a short time we had with him at this stage.  I want to remember how his nose scrunches with excitement each time we pick him up from his crib.  I want to recall the darling sound he makes each time he sees the kitty outside the front door.  I always want to think of the smell of him fresh from the bath, how squishy his thighs are, the way his lips purse when he sleeps.  I want to remember how quickly he caught on to rolling, crawling, walking along the couch – because soon he’ll be running.
Just a decade ago, one of the million dreams I hoped for was the family that would some day be mine. And, here we are, married, with three littles, living that very dream.
To say I’m blessed is a serious understatement.
Love you, Rhett Eph, one of my dreams.

Meet little Weston.  This handsome boy makes the perfect addition to Kelsey and Spencer’s little family.  I could tell right away that his parents are smitten for him, and rightfully so!  Look at that full head of hair and perfect little lips and nose and those tiny fingers.  Oh my goodness, he is a peach!  He loves to be snuggled all nice and warm, and once we got him settled and cozy, he snoozed through the rest of his photo shoot.  Welcome to the world, Weston!

My sweet pea niece, Callie Joy, turned two in February!  She has got the most gentle soul and quiet little demeanor that is so refreshing coming from a 2-year-old.  She LOVES to read and be read to, just like her mama, and she also loves choosing her shoes.  She looks sooo darling in all pastels, so was tough for her mama and I to narrow down which outfits she’d be wearing for her photo shoot.  Happy belated 2nd birthday, sweetie!

Meet this little valentine treat, Brittyn!  Her daddy had me fooled, though, thinking she was going to be a boy, but that is why I love the surprise!  She sure is a sweet peanut, and her big brother and sister love her so!  She has got a perfect, lovely skin tone to pull off a shades of violet and olive, doesn’t she?! And, we had to do a little valentine set, too, with her birthday falling the day before the holiday.
Baby girl, you are so sweet and so loved!

As if I don’t already love the Melvin family enough, they added baby #4 last Christmas!  Her mama decided to do a girls only shoot this time to capture Natalie as a newborn.  This little girl looks so much like her big siblings, and she was happiest when we just let her lay all snuggled in warm blankets.  (This winter, I definitely feel the same way!)  Natalie was so blessed to get to wear the same beautiful baptismal dress as her mama and aunt did years ago.  Welcome to the world and to your awesome fam, little one, you are going to love them and be loved by them!
