On top of that, she is beautiful, has a great sense of humor, is very organized, and has a contagious smile that lights up any room. Jen and her girls got ready at the farmhouse where she and Joel now live. It was very special to be able to do their first look and most of the outdoor pictures right in their cozy backyard. I can only imagine all the wonderful memories they will make together over the years under those big ol’ maple trees. The two were so calm and confident as they said their “I do’s,” and they just had so much fun together with friends and family all around them.

Dietrich & Erika could quite possibly be the most genuine definition of true love. Throughout their session, it was evident their relationship encompasses so many essential ingredients for a great marriage – humor, confidence, passion, goals & dreams, trust, patience – just to name a few. As I watched them interact, I felt like I was watching a love story on a big screen. I absolutely cannot wait to attend their wedding this fall where I am certain the day will focus on what matters most – faith in God and their love for each other.

My greatest hope is that I am leading her in the right direction right now for wherever she is going as she grows. She is stronger-willed then I could have ever imagined; we’re so alike, yet so different at times. Some days we bicker & yell, but other days we hug & melt into each other with giggles. Over the past couple years, we’re seeing that this little girl loves to dance. Turn on a good tune and most likely you’ll see her reaching for her ballet shoes and free styling across the living room. She loves pretty things, nail polish, dolls & accessories, turquoise, sweet treats, superhero books, her new secret hideout, and her family. If you pay attention for just a second, she’ll tell you all about it.

It seems that Jake is a bit of an explorer. After snapping some catcher’s mitt pics at the baseball field, we traveled down a winding country road to these awesome backroad backdrops he had scouted. The old barns were really cool, but my favorite by far, was the limestone wall along River Road. He was right in his element as he climbed atop those chalky rocks.
