The Holtzen Family has a special place in my heart as some of my very first neighbors and people I got to know as I moved to Davenport. Marilyn became like a grandma to us as she’d watch our littles when I went out on photo shoots. She would make the best mac & cheese with hotdogs and send the kids home with a new batch of homemade play-doh nearly every time. And, I also loved having Jennifer as one of our trusty babysitters, too, when she got old enough to drive out to the farm.
Such a great family all around and I am grateful to live in community with them! Happy fall, Holtzens!

It is always a great time when I am with the Melvins. I adore how Dru & Brittany are raising their tribe with such a steady, God-centered mentality, and it truly inspires me to try to do the same. I love seeing the hard work they have put into their farm home, new barn, and simply raising five kids! There’s nothing simple about that! We had some wild moments, but that’s what creates the ordinary days that make up this beautiful life they have built. Happy fall, Melvin fam!

My “little” brother is all grown up with the sweetest little family of his own. Feels like just yesterday he was introducing us to Katie, then Archie, then bought his first home, Chief came into he family as a fluffy puppy, N + K tied the knot, and a little over a year ago, they welcomed the most darling baby girl into our family! We had a great time celebrating her first birthday and capturing these sweet photos at a nearby apple orchard. I am so thankful for all of you and love you dearly!!

It feels like just yesterday we were cheers-ing some brewskis taking Trev & Kalli’s engagement photos, and here they are with two of the sweetest little boys and building a beautiful life for their precious family. As you will see there was no shortage of smiles all around, and it just fills my heart how playful and fun this little family is. Happy fall, Mumms!
