You’ve gotta see the Mumm family! It seems like just yesterday I was photographing Trev & Kalli’s wedding, and now here they are with their two sweet little boys in tow. It is so cool to get to watch them be parents to these littles, and I admire their patience and calm and how they interact with their children. Mr. Derek has completed his rookie year already! What a sweet, smiley little boy he is. For his photoshoot, he brought with his parents, puppy Dottie, and even grandma Kathy! You will see, he is already working on his football throw, and I am sure his daddy is very excited about that. It is a little uncanny how much he resembles his father as a baby. What a precious boy you are, Derek Brett! Here are the Shaners! They are such a sweet family I am beyond thankful to have as part of our village. To know Liz is to know genuine friendship, true compassion, and deep sincerity. She is always game for a playdate, a warm hug, makes the most delicious apple bread, and is a very talented photographer herself. The love she pours into her family and friends graciously spills into the lives of everyone around her. Derek is a great and steady protector of their family, and my kids are never ready to leave after playing with their kids. We could (and do) talk for hours! Happy fall, Shaner fam! I have been very blessed in the in-laws department! Duane & Deb welcomed me into their family with open arms nearly 15 years ago, and while there have been twists and turns and life’s bumps along the road, I feel like we have all grown so much over the years, and I am honored to get to be a part of it. Cora is officially 5! She requested her pictures taken at her Nana’s house where there is a magical playhouse for her and little sister Quinn. What a special place for these girls to grow up and make many childhood memories. We took advantage of all the beautiful fall blooms, too. |
