I feel absolutely honored and humbled to get to photograph this family’s third precious babe. It has been such a joy to get to meet them when they first welcomed big brother Landon, then sweet Emmalyn, and now tiny, new Nora Brielle. There is so much love in this family, it just radiates in their smiles, their voices, and the way they interact with each other. Thank you for letting me capture these darling photos of your growing family, Aarin & Danielle. You have created and are raising a wonderful little family!
Quiet by nature but very much a gentleman was Tanner as he offered to help carry my chair all throughout the session. Then I felt terrible, we thought his glasses had fallen out of my camera bag toward the end of the session, so we retraced our steps through tall grass for a good 10 minutes then decided we ought to at least finish his photos before the sun sunk below the horizon. After we called it a wrap, his little brother and sister came over to see him, still looking for his glasses, and one of them asked, “Are you sure they’re not in your bag?” While explaining to them we had already checked it but opening it up one more time to look- there they were! They had slipped into a smaller inside pocket of my bag. Whew, I was so relieved we had really never lost them! Enjoy your senior year, Tanner, and thanks again for carrying my chair!

What a beautiful June wedding day for Spencer & Krista! The weather was perfect, Krista had planned the details beautifully, and, surrounded a fun bunch of family and friends, these two tied the knot! As a good friend of mine knowing I would be having a baby this fall, Brittany was super thoughtful to schedule her annual family session early this summer before the heat set in. I have said it before, but I truly mean it, I love watching and spending time with the Melvins. Dru and Brittany do so well with their four energetic, always-on-the-move kiddos, and I cannot help but think they are the portrait of an American Dream family working hard to raise their kids right and keep on lovin’ each other every step of the way. Hats off to you two for raising this sweet little horse-loving crew, and also for keeping pants on Chase for the entire session! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Our sweet girl turns 7 this evening! It’s true, in the blink of an eye, our little ones grow so quickly. It was so fun to see this girl grow and blossom in her Kindergarten year. She so quickly learned to read and loves it! She’s now tying her own shoes. Just last week she showed me how she can put up her own ponytail! With her beautifully vivid imagination, she still loves to play pretend, catch butterflies, play with all sorts of dolls, mermaids, & unicorns, dance around the house, watch all of her favorites movies, paint nails with mom, talk dad’s ear off, and play with her cousins and friends. I cannot wait to see what seven looks like for her! Happy birthday, Shelby Ann! We love you beyond measure!
