Our baby girl turned two earlier this summer, but I was a little occupied with her new baby brother, and I just plain forgot to post her 2-year old pictures until now.  (That is the story of my life.) She is just as sugary sweet as her lollipop and equally sticky at times.  She loves reciting her version of the ABCs.  Her favorite shape is the triangle.  She loves watching the nighttime news with her daddy and then she’ll point out the “nummer 8!” when she sees temps in the 80’s on the weather.  She loves wearing pretty dresses and being outside.  Her daddy and I are in awe of the joy and laughter she brings to our lives every day.

Miss Kelsey is two and full of spunk and a little sass!  I just want to run my fingers through those whispy, blonde curls!  It’s always a fun time to catch up with her sweet mama, Brooke, as we work to get this little one to smile.  It only takes a few fruit snacks and a game of peek-a-boo to get this girl grinning.  Once she is, those crystal blue eyes do the rest of the talking.

It seems like just yesterday, Charlie was somewhere between middle school and junior high riding his bike all over town with his buddies.  Now, he’s driving and running a state-qualifying relay around the track.  And, it was ironic that I happened to choose the bridge location where he and those same buddies like to tank down the river – sounds like fun!
Have a great senior year, Charlie, and I hope to see your relay team at state again!

Our nephew turns one in just a couple weeks! Wait, WHAT?!  Where did that year go?  I know, it’s been full of birthday parties & holidays, Sunday mornings at church, backyard pool play dates, a trip to the zoo, and just recently Cord attending his first “putting up corn.”  This lovable little boy always has a smile for you, and right when you’re not looking you can hear him plant a big ol’ raspberry on his mama’s cheek.  It’s almost too much cuteness to handle.

Happy 1st birthday, Cord!  We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Megan is a country girl to the core with cute boots tucked under a sparkly prom dress, an old and new tractor, a friendly 4-H calf named Otis, an FFA jacket in the corn field, a Harvestore backdrop….and simply her country girl charm.  Her session was originally scheduled at the beginning of summer, but the early birth of my son postponed it.  Ironically, her mother happens to be a nurse at the very same hospital and surprised us with a visit.  She kindly reassured us that she understood our situation and planned to reschedule.  In conversation with Megan, I later learned that she too is planning to go to nursing school after graduation.  There’s always a need for great people like you and your mother, Megan.
You’ll do great things for the world as a nurse!
