These two tied the knot on what started out as a cloudy August day, and by the afternoon it was sunny and steamy.  They definitely threw Davenport’s party of the summer.  Their reception hall is sure be talked about for years to come.  The details.  Oh my, I could go on and on about the details of their special day, but I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.  So much thought and creativity went into each little piece of the day – everything from their gifts to each other to glasses on the head table.  It was rustically beautiful – and so are their hearts.
Congrats, Sam & Brittany.  May your entire marriage be just as wonderful as the day you said, “I do!”

Ladies & gentlemen, I’d like you to meet Trevor.  This handsome country boy is about as easy going as they come.  He and his dad had scouted out some excellent locations for his shoot including his grandpa’s old Chevy in their open field, and we finished up with his bike in town.  May you have many open roads ahead, Trevor, and a great year to wrap up your high school career!

Our brown-eyed little boy is three months old today!  He’s also getting baptized in just a few days.  This little guy has such an adorable smile with dimples that just melt this mama’s heart, but he doesn’t like me to catch very many on camera…which makes them even more precious.  And, like his sister, we can’t leave the house without his blankie.  Even as a infant he’s teaching me so much about patience and contentment.
Your daddy and I love watching you grow, Dawson Kevin.

I’m so glad Betsy decided to do the second half of her session this fall amidst the burning autumn leaves and harvest sky.  That also meant I got to listen to another private concert!  Win, win!

It felt like a mini concert just for me as we snapped Betsy’s senior pictures.  Only a few poses in, she grabbed her guitar, and instantly she was in her zone.  A few times I had to remind myself that, “Oh yeah, I’m the one working here.”  The beautiful chords rolled effortlessly off her fingers.  Then, her big sister Hannah added her voice and the sun shone through the trees just right, and, oh my, I’m sure I probably just sat and listened for a few seconds…or possibly even minutes.  Yeah, it was definitely a few minutes.  She has so much talent!
Betsy, if your senior year is half as good as the way you play the guitar, it’s going to be excellent – enjoy!

I am certain Ted could speak and act circles around me!  So, it was only fitting that we utilized his home stage for his pictures.  We had some fantastic lighting to add a new element of drama, and though we were indoors, there was no air conditioning.  So we didn’t hang around in there for too long.  Anyway, I’ve seen this guy on stage a couple times, and, let me tell you – he’s good.
