I have been fortunate to photograph the Norden family for the third year in a row now. Little Brantley is always such a good boy during pictures and possibly a bit shy, but as soon as we put him up on top of an old rusty tractor he got a big ol’ grin on his face. He wore some really cute western boots, too! It was great to see you three again – I hope you’re all enjoying the autumn season!
Little did I know that Jared & Sarah’s engagement session would entail overcoming a couple of fears. Nearing the middle of the bridge high above a sparkling river, I asked Sarah to stand near the rail overlooking the water and Jared to tuck himself next her. Jared slowly stepped closer with his eyes locked on the water. “He’s afraid of heights.” Sarah confessed for him. Minutes later, safely on the road, almost ready to step into some tall grass, a tiny snake slithered desperately away from us as Jared chased it away (and as Sarah and I jumped at least three feet in the air and screamed like teenage girls.) He turned around and smiled, “She’s afraid of snakes.” Me too, Jared, me too!
Well, I’d say they’ve got this “for better or for worse” thing figured out already. I cannot wait to witness them make it official next February, and I’ll be praying for no snow! Congrats, you two!
Meet the Pope Family! Daughter Jaime contacted me months ago eager to get her family in the books for some fall pictures. Back in the spring, we took a guess as to what would be a good weekend for pictures, and we sure lucked out as is has been a great autumn! And, all around, this family is pretty great as well. Those two little ones are the icing on the cake. Enjoy the season, Popes! It was great to see you all!Music: I Remember, Whitley
What a gorgeous October day it was for Adam and Mandy as they walked down the aisle to begin their life as newlyweds. The details were beautiful from the lace in Mandy’s gown to her Chloe + Isabel jewels to the dusty greens & corals of the succulents in her bouquet. Equally beautiful is the love and affection these two share for each other. As the maid of honor said in her speech, Adam has the utmost respect and love for his bride, and Mandy shines with her love and kindness toward her groom.
You two are going to have such a wonderful life together, thanks for choosing me to capture a glimpse of the very beginning! Congratulations, Tiptons!

I just love sweet Natalie’s “floof” atop her little noggin. I could snuggle her whispy baby hair on my cheek for hours. Her content, gentle personality shines through, and she’ll be all smiles all day unless big sissy gives a too-tight hug or if mama gets too far out of sight. I always enjoy your company, Nattie-bug!
See you again soon for your first birthday!
