This little angel makes a very sweet addition to her family! She is just a few weeks old, and already, she has got her big brother wrapped around her finger. He gives her hugs and kisses at the drop of a hat. Her mom and I had a lot of fun dressing this little dolly in frilly lace, even though she is already as cute as a button.
You are so loved, Miss Brynlee. Take care of that big brother of yours!
Shelby girl will start preschool in the fall. She is so excited to begin school, and I am very certain she will love learning, playing and making new friends. She is already looking forward to picking out a Hello Kitty backpack from the Walmart and tells everyone how she already got to meet her new teacher. But, my heart is hesitant, because ready or not, here she grows. Daily, she teaches me so much about patience, humility and keeping my promises. She’s got a little sass, a little attitude, and a lot of will to do things her own way. Though it makes us butt heads at times, I know it will serve her well in life when standing up for what is right and what she believes. I love that she is never afraid to run in the grass with her bare feet, and at the end of a day, she may be covered in dirt from head-to-toe, but she lived. I wish I could capture her vivid imagination and sweet little voice in a bottle to save it forever, but I know it would do no good in there. So, in the meantime, I’ll just keep watching and listening.
Happy 4th birthday, Shelby Ann, we love your joyful heart!
From the moment I first walked into the hair salon that morning, I knew it was going to be an awesome wedding day for Chase & Krista! They have surrounded themselves with a group of phenomenal friends and have been blessed with a wonderful family. I cannot get over how caring and accommodating Krista and Chase were for everyone else on their wedding day. Krista was always making sure everyone had enough breakfast pizza (isn’t her Dad so sweet to bring it for the gals!?), hairspray, static guard, makeup, perfume, lipgloss…whatever you needed, she pulled it from her magic bag. And Chase was the ultimate gentleman to everyone but mostly to his bride. During their first glance moment with each other, his sincere tears and her beaming smile said it all – they truly make each other incredibly happy.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Chase Winter! My you enjoy forever together!

Meet my sweet niece, Callie Joy! She is one of our three new nieces (all under the age of 6 months) I am so proud and happy to get to introduce to you! She has got a gorgeous head of wild hair that I could snuggle for days. It warms my heart that I was asked to be one of her Godmamas, a title I am blessed to share with my other two sister-in-laws! She rounds out her sweet family with two older brothers whom love her very, very much.
Callie Joy, I am so thrilled to get to be a part of your life and cannot wait to watch you grow!
Our boy turns 2 years old today!
There is absolutely nothing he would rather do more than step into his green dinosaur rain boots and help his Daddy or Grandpa “feed mamas”…feed the sows that is. Next in line, he loves hopping in the feed grinding tractor with Daddy any chance he can. Most days, I must lock us in the house to keep him from making his own way to the tractor or pig barns without me knowing. However, when he is not busy farming, I love to watch his curiosity blossom. Just recently he has started saying small phrases, counts to 10 and sings his version of the ABCs. He is such a kind and compassionate little guy. Any time he receives a snack or candy, he will always kindly ask for another one for “Tee-tee,” his big sister, and he actually delivers it to her! And, he’s still quite attached to his “banket” which he carries around just like Linus van Pelt, the Peanuts character. Every time our little boy hits a milestone, I always think, “now…this is my favorite stage.” But, I’ll probably say that again next year.
Happy 2nd birthday, Dawson Kevin, we love your sweet heart beyond measure!
