One of my favorite families officially moved to the farm this spring, and I was so excited when they asked me to capture photos of them in front of their town home one more time before they moved. Their tree out front was in full bloom, and social distancing was in full force, so a front porch session is just what the doctor ordered. I jumped at the chance to visit my sweet friends! They have made many memories in their first, cozy home but I know they will make many more at the farm!

This past year has been a big one for our Shelby! She ditched the training wheels on her bike in just one day. She reads like a grown up. She lost her first seven teeth! Then her permanents grew in right away, giving her a whole new smile. She got glasses for school. She makes new discoveries all the time and is beginning to see the world in a new, young-eyed light. Some days it seems that she has gone from a little girl to a little lady overnight. Though, I love that she still remains our free-spirited, make-believe, creative-hearted girl who loves to dance and twirl and sing and march to the beat of her own drum full of sass and sincerity. Our Dawson is growing up right before our very eyes. Up with the sun, breakfast, jeans, boots, and out the door with Dad, he does not miss a beat here on the farm. He truly loves being able to raise pigs and will get involved as much as we allow. He can rough & tough it all day out with the guys, but at the end of the day he is ready for jammies, his beloved blanket, and snuggles with mom. He adores his baby brother and sister and can be such a big helper. When he and big sister are on the same page, they are such good playmates and so fun to watch! These two, they just fit like a glove! He is the peanut butter to her jelly, and they are always dishing out good-hearted fun between each other and their sweet families. What a delicious combination! I am praying super hard that this world returns to normal because they are throwing In a world of much uncertainty, one this is true….I love this little girl (& her siblings) more than my heart can handle some days. She rolls, she sleeps, she wakes, she smiles, she snuggles, she cries big alligator tears, she grows, and best of all, she is everything I have ever dreamed of the little person who would complete our family. And for that, I am deeply grateful. And because I never got around to posting her 3 month pictures, here’s a little more eye candy of our Christmas dolly…. |
