Music: Big Love, Small Moments by JJ Heller

It was an honor to get to photograph the entire Scripter family in celebration of Grandma Dot’s fabulous 90th birthday. Dotty is my husband’s aunt’s mother, but through the years she feels more like someone I have known my entire life. She is a joyful ray of light and exudes happiness, hugs, and love to all around her. She has even joined us to celebrate our kids’ birthdays, invited our family down for a fun day at her home and local waterpark, and gifted me a beautiful bracelet “just because.”
To know Dotty is to know what it feels like to be so, so loved.
And, I hope she felt that same way on her birthday, because she sure deserves it!
Happy birthday, Grandma Dotty!

It worked out nicely that we were able to catch Baby Quinn’s 9 month milestone and some family photos all at the same time. The weather worked out perfectly, and even despite some “itchy” dresses, the girls kept smiling for the camera! Now that harvest is wrapped, we’re all ready to slide into holiday mode.
Happy early holidays, Walters fam!

The Cahill family closed out my run of back-to-back sessions for this fall, and I could not have had a more fun bunch! The kids kept us on our toes as they climbed trees and teetered on the bank of the river. But, it is always so fun for me to get a whole crew in front of the camera at the same time. From all the cousins to great-grandma, we got everyone in the photos – something that will be cherished for years. So if you need a Christmas gift idea, moms and grandmas love updated photos!
Happy holidays, Cahill family!

The Stengels are another awesome family I have had the privilege of working with for lots of years. Though, I can still remember when the twins were just babies. And, these past two summers, we have had so much fun getting to know them even more- spending time in the same 4-H club, watching our kiddos get covered in sand, wood chips, and other farm shtuff, while caring for each others fair animals. Now, add in sweet little Elsi girl for a touch of sass (but not much for sparkle boots, right mom?).
I am already looking forward to next year’s fair memories, Stengels!

Last year, it was favorite football teams. This year, Miss Brynn got to choose the theme. So, the Ramsey’s rolled up rocking’! All the way down to Irwin the dog’s spiked collar.
If you can’t get your family to cooperate for family photos, take a play out of Heather’s book, and let one of them choose the outfits! Plus it takes one more task off your to-do list! Rock on, Ramseys!
