Moving to the Farm

Dawson257-2

Since the day I met Ryan, I knew his plan as the Miller family’s 5th generation farmer was to some day move back to the farm house where he grew up.  Long story short, we fell in love, got married and here we are nearly four years, one business and two kiddos later.  It is now our time to make the bittersweet move.  We will begin switching homes with his parents on Friday, November 21st.

First and foremost, I want to thank every single client who has entrusted me to capture your loved ones with my camera. It has been one of the most exciting things I have done in my life, and I do not intend to quit for a very long time…or ever, at this point.  However, it is with a heavy heart I will not be able to take any new bookings between November 1, 2014 and January 3, 2015, and October is filling quickly, too.  I apologize if I am not able to fit you in this fall/winter but will gladly mark you on the calendar for 2015.

For those still waiting to place or receive an order, you have my word that I will meet or exceed the deadlines listed on your contract as long as you place your order by the date listed on your contract.  I ask for your patience with any orders placed after Thanksgiving.  It may take me a few weeks to get my office and internet set up so I can work.

How does this affect Whitney Miller Photography?  Not a whole lot.  Deb & Duane have graciously agreed to let me still use the “town house” backyard for my shoots.  Thank goodness!  However, I am excited to explore new locations around the farm and in the country.  One very big positive I’m looking forward to is having my own office and possibly a mini studio area that can stay set up there.

Most of all, thank you, Deb & Duane, for the countless memories and priceless treasure you are about to pass on to us.  We will do our absolute best to keep it up, and hopefully be able to pass it on to our children some day.  And, to Erin, Ross and Drew and your families, you’re always more than welcome to visit, stay and play for a taste of home at the farm.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this and for your continued support in my photography.  It has been such an incredible journey this far, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for years to come.

Happy harvest!
Whitney
